Prerequisites
Before installing the Alpik Forwarder, verify that you meet the following requirements.
Compatible Alpik devices
The Forwarder works with any Alpik hardware that emits BLE advertisements. Contact your Alpik representative to confirm your device model is supported.
Smartphone requirements

The device must support Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) or later. All smartphones manufactured after 2014 meet this requirement.
:::noteBackground scanning on iOS
Apple restricts background BLE scanning to apps that declare the bluetooth-central background mode. The Alpik Forwarder declares this mode — however, iOS may still throttle scan frequency when the screen is off. See Permissions for details.

Network
The smartphone must have an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) while forwarding. The app buffers a small number of payloads locally and retries if connectivity is temporarily lost.
