Alpik Forwarder

The Alpik Forwarder is a mobile application for iOS and Android that turns your smartphone into a BLE-to-LoRaWAN bridge.

What it does

Alpik devices broadcast their data as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) advertisement packets. In a standard deployment these packets are picked up by a LoRaWAN gateway and forwarded to the Alpik backend for processing.

The Forwarder removes the need for a dedicated gateway in locations where one is unavailable or impractical. The app listens continuously for BLE advertisements from Alpik devices — even while running in the background — and forwards each payload over HTTPS to the Alpik backend. The backend processes the data exactly as if it had arrived via LoRaWAN.
